Projects

Two projects in motion.

Different industries, one belief: technology only transforms when people adopt it. Both projects start from how people already work.

The project

Zumbido is a network ERP software from Canada. We are building its intelligence layer: the part of the product that does the routine work of running a business, so that the people using it do not have to.

Two layers

Always on

90

Agents for routine deliverables.

Ninety agents that are always working, covering most of the routine business deliverables across functions.

  • Inventory
  • And more

Pay per use

10

Agents that help small businesses scale.

Ten agents, used and paid for only when needed, focused on scaling small and medium businesses through discipline, quality culture, standards and processes.

How we think about it

Routine work is where people lose the most time, and it is rarely where they do their best work. The always-on agents carry that routine, so people can spend their time on judgement and relationships.

Small businesses rarely stall for lack of software. They stall for lack of discipline: standards, quality habits and repeatable process. The pay-per-use agents bring that discipline within reach of a business that cannot afford to build it alone.

The agents carry the routine. People keep the judgement.

Project 02 · Automotive after-sales · Working model shown to an OEM

Bridging customers and service engineers, with an automotive OEM.

Screen showing a customer's two issues, typed in plain words: steering feels wobbly on rough roads, and the AC isn't cooling properly in traffic.
01The customer describes each issue in their own words, one at a time.
Screen showing issues written in a mix of Hindi and English being translated, then matched against an approved list of known causes.
02Their words are translated and matched against a fixed, approved list of known causes.
Screen showing a published job card listing three separate faults, routed to the service advisor.
03The result is checked and published as a clear job card for the service advisor.

The project

We built a working model of the solution targeting the messiest problem in marketing, after-sales support, and recently showed it to an automotive OEM. It bridges the language gap – how customers describe a problem with their car and the inputs a service engineer needs to fix it. The second example on our challenges page shows how.

Why it matters

“First time right” is the buzzword of after-sales, yet the first thing that goes wrong is the conversation. The customer says there is a thud from the back. The engineer needs something he can act on. Whoever translates between the two is the favourite person at the service shop, and we are building that translation into the process.

First time right begins with hearing the customer right.

Past work

Where we have been before.

Diametric Ideas was set up as an old-school partnership in 2015–16. Between the partnership and our individual assignments, we do about INR 6 million of work a year, large and small.
